As a volunteer, I agree to the following:
- I will treat all animals and volunteers with respect and work as a team with other volunteers.
- I will abide by all ARLEP rules, policies, procedures and adhere to the instructions of ARLEP staff.
- I will report any issues or problems directly to the appropriate senior manager and the Volunteer Coordinator.
- I understand the potential safety risks of working with animals and will not bring guests with me to volunteer.
- I understand the potential risks of bringing illnesses at the shelter home to my personal pets and vice versa.
- I am current on my tetanus shot and am covered by a health insurance policy.
- I agree to volunteer a minimum of 6 hours per month for three months, unless otherwise terminated from the program.
- I will inform the appropriate manager and the Volunteer Coordinator of my inability to fulfill a shift as early as possible.
- I authorize ARLEP to seek emergency medical treatment on my behalf in the event of injury or illness.
- I agree to indemnify and hold harmless ARLEP, its Board of Directors, officers, agents, and employees from and against any and all liability whatsoever arising out of or related to my duties under this agreement or for any negligent act or omission by ARLEP, its Board of Directors, officers, agents and employees.
- I understand that failure to abide by the terms of this agreement or inability to meet the requirements of the volunteer program are grounds for termination from the program.
- I understand that I may be removed from my volunteer position at any time at the discretion of ARLEP staff and management.
